On 5-6 October the ICC will carry out an expert visit to Hamamatsu, Japan.

A representative of the Council of Europe and an independent expert will meet the Mayor as well as city officials and a wide range of local stakeholders in order to make an in-depth "diagnosis" of the city's achievements and needs in relation to intercultural policies and governance.

The programme includes visits to Hamamatsu Intercultural Centre, several schools and education institutions, business places, and an exchange of views with representatives of the foreign resident community. The visit will further result in a report that will draw the “intercultural profile” of the city and which will be the basis of subsequent work.
