Back Scholarships to fund young refugees’ studies

Strasbourg City Council has launched a scholarship programme to help newcomers in accessing training and studies. The programme supports various projects and offer young people personalised assistance with their applications. The University of Strasbourg and a local association are involved in the programme and, together with the Strasbourg City Council, help to monitor each young person’s progress.

Young people aged between 18 and 30 years who have recognised refugee status or have applied for this status in the Bas-Rhin département are eligible for this scheme. The criteria for assessing applications are the applicants’ motivation, the relevance of the project proposed in view of their previous experience, the applicants’ economic situation and whether the scholarship will be a decisive factor for enrolment in a university course.

This project is being implemented by Strasbourg City Council, with the network of partner cities of the Club of Strasbourg.
