Back Barcelona - Microhistories of the diaspora: experiences of the feminine dispersion

Microhistories of the diaspora is a project which invites to think the concept of the «diaspora space » instead of the concept of diaspora alone. The project investigates which specificities add race, gender, class or language, to “embodied experience of diaspora subjectivities”.

In this sense, Microhistories of the diaspora wants to build a space of reworking, critical thinking and listening from a common epistemology: the one from women which are racialised, emigrated or «who they remain where they are», that by means of activist stories, literary voices, self-referential or artistic knowledge, they not only disagree from hegemonic narratives, but also from a static and discriminatory subaltern condition. Women speak then to understand how they are impacted by the economic, political, cultural and psychic processes that come together in the everyday of each subject. They speak to name their own experience in these intersections, in dialogue with the different prospects and analytical architectures at their reach.
