Hosted by the NGO "The Smile of the Child", the delegation met with about 20 NGOs to discuss migration issues based on the Committee's two main axes of work: NGO access to migrant populations, refugees and asylum seekers, and access of these populations to their fundamental rights.
The delegation also visited several successful projects in the field of integration of migrants, refugees and asylum seekers.
Based on the exchanges with local NGOs, in light of the new ideas discussed during these three days and the emphasis placed on certain specific points, the Committee will now share its experience with the various bodies of the Council of Europe. In the same way, it will now be able to realign its work with the reality on the ground for the pursuit of its missions and in particular to update the recommendation currently in progress.
