CoE Committee of Ministers published the Communication from the Expert Council on NGO Law of the Conference of INGOs (10/08/2021) in the case of BEKIR-OUSTA AND OTHERS v. Greece (Application No. 35151/05)

The Expert Council on NGO Law of the Conference of INGOs is very concerned that the case of BEKIR-OUSTA AND OTHERS v. Greece (Application No. 35151/05) is not resolved yet. The Expert Council on NGO-Law once again has issued a strong statement to uphold the findings of the European Court of Human Rights in this case, which was addressed and distributed by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe at their 1411th meeting (September 2021) under Rule 9.2 of the Rules of the Committee of Ministers for the supervision of the execution of judgments and of the terms of friendly settlements.

The Expert Council on NGO-Law, represented by Jeremy McBride, President of the Expert Council, accompanied by Gerhard Ermischer, President of the Conference of INGOs recently had a meeting with the representatives of the NGOs concerned to be updated on the latest events and to assure them once again the Conference of INGOs’ firm engagement to support their case.
