Please note that the deadline has been prolonged to Monday 2 December.
Dear fellow members,
Here follows another step you can take towards our common aspirations. The Draft Rules of Procedure were sent to you before the Autumn Session of the Conference of INGOs. We would like to thank to all participants for listening as well for the contribution to the discussion. Now the Drafting Group need your written contributions in order to conduct the process in the most open and consultative way. A reminder of the deadline for written replies: 29 November to NGO-Unit@coe.int
At the Plenary debate several members asked for the introductory slide presentation. Please find it via the link at the bottom of this page. Further to that, the revised French version of the Draft Rules is now available; at the time of meeting it was still in revision.
Finally, to assist you in writing the replies - be it endorsements or amendments - here follows a brief reminder of what has gone before:
- Preliminary Report end 2018: The group realizes that its work in 2018 outlines a more important track, that of connecting with the present and the future of the Conferencje of INGOs as one of the four pillars of the Council of Europe;
- Bureau meeting 11 December 2018: If the Conference fails to adapt / lighten its structures and its institutional functioning in a democratic way, we can expect an administrative decision, motivated by the budgetary restriction … it is important to show our evolution and adaptation to the needs of the CoE and the reality of working within the CoE in its new context and new priorities of the Secretary General. The decision was to support the proposal of the Drafting Group;
- Standing Committee meeting 24 January 2019: presentation of the draft revised Rules of Procedure. The overall orientation was approved by the Standing Committee;
This is the third time that the work on the Rules of Procedure is presented in this space. The Drafting Group wishes to make this a collaborative work. The reform of the Conference of the INGOs requires the contribution of all.
