Conference of INGOs updates its regulatory frameworks - thoughts welcome!

As is the case with many organisations, the rules of procedure that govern their functioning need reviewing from time to time. This is also the case with the Conference of INGOs. The Standing Committee has mandated a drafting group to do the ground work for this review.

The terms of reference for this review state: “The drafting group will draft proposals for revision or amendment of the Rules of Procedure in order to strengthen:

  • Good and ethical governance of the Conference of INGOs and its bodies (fitness for purpose of its structures, election procedures, code of conduct)
  • Operational efficiency (resources, meetings / sessions, participatory working methods, decision-making process, etc.)”

Members of the Conference of INGOs are herewith invited to take note of this process and are welcome to submit their thoughts on four sets of questions that the drafting group wishes to clarify prior to going into the detail of (re-)writing specific paragraphs.

The Feedback Form is available below.

Deadline: Kindly send your reply by 20 November 2018 at the latest to Christoph Spreng, Vice-President of the Conference of INGOs
