On 25 and 26 May 2023, anti-discrimination officers and civil society representatives from municipalities of Peja/Peć, Istog/Istok, Klinë/Klina, Mitrovicë/Mitrovica and Vushtrria/Vučitrn, attended an in-depth training session on Non-discrimination and Equality standards.
15 participants learnt and discussed about topics such as judicial practice in line with the practice of the European Court of Human Rights and the one of the Constitutional Court; the local legal framework regarding the protection from discrimination; the role of Ombudsperson Institution and Discrimination at municipal level - examples from ECtHR jurisprudence.
This training was conducted in the framework of the project “Promoting human rights and non-discrimination principles at the local level”, implemented by Council of Europe office in Pristina and through financial support of the United Nations Mission in Kosovo* (UNMIK).
