Under the Council of Europe 'Neighbourhood Partnership for Morocco 2018-2021', financed by Norway, the Council of Europe has organised a training in partnership with the Forum for Mediterranen Youth (FOMEJE) for young journalists and activitists on the combat against hate speech in the media, on 6-8 December 2019, in Asilah.

This training gave participants the opportunity to discuss the important role that civil society and media plays in the fight against hate speech. Through practical workshops young journalists and activitists learnt about national and international standards on the subject. The workshops also provided the participants with knowledge and tools to counter hate speech in the media.
