Let’s Learn about Human Rights Online – new sessions about human rights education launched

Young people, teachers and anyone interested in education and human rights can enhance their skills and competences through a new series of online sessions “Let’s Learn about Human Rights Online”, starting on 21 May in the framework of the “I Choose Equality” campaign.

The online sessions aim at teaching youth and educators more about modern, informal methods of human rights education along with the Council of Europe tools and practices.

During the first session, the  consultant focused on human rights education approaches and values, discussed the Council of Europe manuals “Compass” and “Compasito”, how to conduct an educational session on human rights with youth and children.

The next sessions will cover topics such as community initiatives for a diverse environment, practical educational steps and alternative narratives against hate speech.

The first session in Georgian is available here.

“Let’s Learn about Human Rights Online” is organised in the frame of the I Choose Equality campaign run by the co-operation project “Fight against Discrimination, Hate Crimes and Hate Speech in Georgia”. The project is implemented under the Council of Europe’s Action Plan for Georgia 2016-2019 with the support of the Danish Neighbourhood Programme in Georgia (DANEP).
