Where does the limit lie between allowing freedom of expression for terrorists and their supporters and banning them from speaking? This is the topic explored in this interview with Nicolas Hervieux, lawyer in Public Law at Paris-Ouest and Pantheon-Assas Universities.

Also under discussion, the ethics of journalists making interviews with terrorists or otherwise reporting what they say. There is a fine line to tread between the media simply informing the public, on the one hand, and acting as a mouthpiece for those who want to incite violence, on the other.
