Organised by the University of Florence in collaboration with the National Higher School of Landscape of Versailles (ENSP), the goal of the symposium is to rethink 40 years later the two Florence Charters (the ICOMOS-IFLA one and the Italian one) drawn up in Florence in 1981, in the light of the profound changes that have affected the environment, landscape and society in the transition to the new millennium, and the results produced by the refinement of Charter principles in the context of international restoration experiences.
