The first ever online HELP training-of-trainers (ToT) took place on 2 June 2020 aiming at increasing the pool of HELP certified national trainers in Georgia. This event was organised jointly by the European Programme for Human Rights Education for Legal professionals (HELP) and the European Union - Council of Europe joint project "Supporting the criminal justice reforms - tackling criminal aspects of the judicial reforms in Georgia," funded by the European Union within the framework of Partnership for Good Governance programme.

The participants to the ToT had a range of different legal backgrounds, such as judges, prosecutors, investigators and legal staff of judicial actors. More than 15 legal professionals acquired knowledge and skills on how to tutor a HELP online course under the HELP Training Methodology, how to adapt HELP courses to the Georgian legal order, how to use the Council of Europe HELP online platform and make their courses interactive. The HELP ToT is a crucial component to make more of our courses available in Georgian and thus further promote human rights standards at national level.

Following the completion of the required assignments, the successful ToT participants will become certified HELP tutors and be included in the HELP tutors’ list.
