Back Heads of Council of Europe anti-corruption and anti-torture bodies call on member states to take decisive action against corruption and torture

In a joint statement issued at the 40th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, Marin Mrčela, President of the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO), and Mykola Gnatovskyy, President of the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (CPT), highlighted the linkages between corruption and torture/ill-treatment and the need to strongly address this phenomenon.
