The Council of Europe Group of States against Corruption (GRECO) today published a report on Finland assessing progress made in implementing the recommendations issued in the Fifth Round Evaluation Report in 2018 on preventing corruption and promoting integrity in central governments (top executive functions) and law enforcement agencies.
GRECO concludes that Finland has implemented satisfactorily or dealt with in a satisfactory manner only four of the fourteen recommendations contained in the Fifth Round Evaluation Report. Of the remaining recommendations, nine have been partly implemented and one has not been implemented.
In view of the above, GRECO concludes that Finland is not in sufficient compliance with the recommendations contained in the Fifth Round Evaluation Report and asks the Finnish authorities to provide a report on the progress in implementing the outstanding recommendations by 30 June 2025.
