How to reform the status of the Capital City of Bratislava and the city of Košice in the Slovak Republic? What issues are the most important for reinforcing the governing legislation and reflecting the specific needs of the two biggest cities in the country? These were the main questions discussed between the Slovak Ministry of Interior and the Council of Europe experts, ahead of a series of discussions with the authorities of the two cities. Following the discussions and consultation with the national stakeholders, a Policy Advice with recommendations for strengthening the regulatory framework will be prepared, in line with the Council of Europe standards.

The activity is organised by the Centre of Expertise for Good Governance, in cooperation with the Slovak implementing partner “MESA10”, in the framework of the Council of Europe – European Union joint project "Delivering Good Governance in Slovakia - II phase"
