Executive training “Prosperity - More employment, less regional, urban and rural disparity and Smart local economic strategies”

The Council of Europe (Centre of Expertise for Local Government Reform, DGII) has organised the executive training on Prosperity - More employment, less regional, urban and rural disparity and Smart local economic strategies on 11-13 October 2017 in Minsk, Belarus. The training was delivered by the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) Barcelona and was organised in cooperation of the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus. 2.5 day executiv training is  addressed to senior local public officials from local authorities of Belarus and the representatives from the Academy of Public.

This executive and practice-oriented course aimed at providing participants with a sound overview of the economic growth tools and job related policies from different European cities. Participants will acquire the knowledge, capacities and skills to develop local tools and papers, align them with national politicy priorities. The special sessions and practical exercises are dedicated to how to formulate and develop skills development policies, including best practises, as well as how to prepqre documents on regional development at the national level. 

The event was organised as a part of the Programme "Strengthening Institutional Frameworks for Local Governance” in the Eastern Partnership countries under the Partnership for Good Governance (PGG) for 2015-2017 funded by the European Union and co-funded by the Council of Europe.
