The Centre of Expertise for Good Governance provides support to local authorities in Greece with the aim of improving their efficiency and effectiveness. Within this framework, it will organise two Workshops on Inter-Municipal Cooperation from 5 to 8 November in Athens and Larissa. These activities will further strengthen the pilot Network of Island Municipalities that was established under the previous EU-CoE Joint Project, and will encourage the creation of a new pilot IMC scheme to address the provision of Internal Audit services. Both workshops will focus on building the capacity of Mayors and elected representatives in terms of leadership and strategic planning.
