We are pleased to publish the Centre of Expertise Peer Review Report on distribution of competences between the State and Local Authorities of both tiers in Greece.

The peer review was part of the EU-CoE Technical Assistance Project on Institutional Enhancement for Local Governance and was organised by the Centre of Expertise at the request of the Hellenic Ministry of Interior to support the ongoing revision of the “Kallikratis” reform, the national legislation on local government.

The report benefitted from the active involvement of senior experts from France, Ireland, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, identified by the European Committee on Democracy and Governance (CDDG), who engaged in peer to peer discussions with Greek representatives of central and local government.
