Lithuania is currently working on re-establishing regions in the country with a goal to strengthen its regional development. A recent Council of Europe Peer Review on Regional Development provided advice on best practices by several countries that have the relevant experience in the issues, in the context of an analysis of the current draft law on regional development, pending to be examined by the Parliament.

With the aim of assisting the Lithuanian Parliament in the upcoming examination of the draft law, a Council of Europe expert will present and discuss the Peer Review Report with members of the Parliament and Government, through a video-conference on 8 April.

The video-meeting will be carried out in the framework of the CoE-EU joint project “Delivering Good Governance in Lithuania”.
