Human Resource Management is essential for Good Governance. This is why the Centre of Expertise for Good Governance is supporting the administration of the Lithuanian Regional Development Councils in building up knowledge and skills in the area of modern and effective Human Resources Management, as well as in other areas of good governance. In this context, a series of capacity building activities will be organised to implement the HRM toolkit developed by the Centre of Expertise. The first training will take place on 24 September 2021 in Vilnius, where participants and national experts will discuss issues related to enforcement of internal control in the public sector, such as:
- Internal control system and its main elements, link to risk management system and processes,
- Distribution of responsibilities from top managers to professionals; selection, application, assessment of demand and effectiveness of internal controls,
- Selection of internal controls, assessment of demand and efficiency - practical examples and tasks.
The activity will be organised in cooperation with the Association of Local Authorities in Lithuania, in the framework of the joint project of the Council of Europe and the European Union "Establishment of legal institutional and financial framework at regional (county level capacity building to enhance quality of regional public administration in Lithuania".
