The Centre of Expertise and the Polish Foundation in Support of Local Democracy celebrated the successful benchmarking of the 12 Principles for Good Democratic Governance by Polish municipalities. Nine municipalities received the European Label for Governance excellence (ELoGE). The award ceremony took place in the framework of a conference organised by the "Rzeczpospolita" newspaper for presenting the results of its XIVth edition of local government ranking and the presentation of two other prestigious awards for achievements in local democracy.

The next round of ELoGE in Poland is foreseen in 2020.
