Artificial intelligence and gender equality

As part of the Gender Mainstreaming Team meeting on Thursday, 13 June, the Gender Equality Division is hosting a presentation and discussion on the gender equality implications of artificial intelligence. The presentation will be given by Alice COUCKE, senior machine learning scientist at Snips (a Paris-based start-up) and holder of a PhD from the lab of theoretical physics of the École Normale Supérieure (France). The presentation will be followed by a discussion.

The Gender Mainstreaming Team (GMT) gathers colleagues from different sectors of the Organisation, who are tasked with gender mainstreaming in their respective areas. The GMT meets twice a year. It is a forum to share information about the activities of different parts of the Council of Europe regarding gender equality and gender mainstreaming and to receive updates about the activities of the Gender Equality Division.
