On 19 and 20 October, the Bureau of the CDMSI met in Strasbourg to prepare the 13th plenary meeting of the Steering Committee on Media and Information Society (5-8 December) .
It made comments on two draft recommendations, respectively on the topics of internet intermediaries and of media pluralism and transparency of media ownership and advised the CDMSI on their finalisation.
It commented three draft studies (internet in elections, media coverage of electoral campaigns with a focus on gender equality, and human rights dimension of automated data processing techniques), also in view of their finalisation by the CDMSI.
The Bureau also discussed the content of future terms of reference for the CDMSI and possible sub-committees.
