The webinar “Legal issues in the operation of the reformed Ukrainian media” was organised on 30 March by the Joint Project “EU and Council of Europe working together to support freedom of media in Ukraine” (JP-Media) and engaged 16 participants from all over Ukraine, editors of regional and communal reformed media outlets. The webinar was led by the Council of Europe consultant, media lawyer Liudmyla Opryshko.
It was a first event in a series of six webinars “How to develop regional media nowadays?”, which the JP-Media will organise for editors of regional and communal media in Ukraine from 30 March to 22 April. Webinars will replace earlier planned seminars in the regions due to the quarantine and Covid-19 related restrictions in Ukraine.
More than 30 participants have already registered for the upcoming five webinars which will covers issues of use of social media, features of work under the quarantine – tips for remote work, e-subscription and newspapers’ distribution in quarantine conditions, accounting and financial reporting of reformed print outlets, how to create profiles of journalists in social media, and other issues. Participants will be awarded certificates of webinars’ completion.
