Back The Bureau of the Steering Committee on Media and Information Society (CDMSI) holds its 15th meeting in Strasbourg from 11 to 12 April.

This is its third meeting under the CDMSI mandate for the 2018-2019 biennium.
The Bureau of the Steering Committee on Media and Information Society (CDMSI) holds its 15th meeting in Strasbourg from 11 to 12 April.

The main topics of the agenda are, inter alia, the progress made by the two experts committees, the Committee of experts on quality journalism in the digital age (MSI-JOQ) and the Committee of experts on Human Rights Dimensions of automated data processing and different forms of artificial intelligence (MSI-AUT), with their respective deliverables, as well as the adoption and promotion of the Declaration on the Financial Sustainability of Quality Journalism in the Digital Age and the Declaration on the Manipulative Capabilities of Algorithmic Processes; and progress made in the preparation of the future conference of ministers responsible for media and information society. The Bureau will further be informed on: the outcome of the high-level conference on AI, Helsinki, of 26-27 February 2019 and its conclusions; the holding of the Council of Europe and Reporters Without Borders conference “Media Pluralism – how can we deliver?”; and the election of a new Bureau Member.
