With the aim of contributing to the quality of education on freedom of expression and freedom of the media in Serbia, on 16 June the Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Belgrade and the Council of Europe Office in Belgrade.

The document was signed within the joint EU/CoE action on “Freedom of expression and freedom of the media in Serbia (JUFREX)”  and the parties agreed to jointly organise two international scientific conferences: on regulatory framework for media during elections and on regulatory framework for freedom of expression on the Internet.

The action aims at improving the respect of human rights standards, through enhancing the knowledge and application of European standards in the field of freedom of expression and the media in the daily work of all relevant actors.
