Under the joint EU/CoE programme “Reinforcing Judicial Expertise on Freedom of Expression and the Media in South-East Europe (JUFREX)", in cooperation with the Press Council and with the support of the Judicial Academy of Serbia, an inter-professional training on media reporting on judicial proceedings was organised on 2 November 2018, in Belgrade. The event enabled discussion between representatives of the judiciary and media actors, ensuring exchange of experiences on media cases, relating provisions of the European Convention on Human Rights and media ethics. The aim of the activity was to raise awarness on existing standards, professional ethics and codes of conduct and to contribute to better communication and understanding between all involved professions and improvement of quality of information received through media.
