Hands on Training on Cases of Freedom of Expression for Students of Legal Clinic of Tirana University

A group of students from the Legal Clinic of the Faculty of Law of Tirana University analysed facts of real cases related to issues of freedom of expression under the guidance of Res Publica and Council of Europe experts. Students learned how to differentiate between facts and opinions, apply proportionally and other standards set by jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights.

This is the first in a series of training events that Res Publica will organise with students of Law. They plan to engage these students in legal research in support of actual cases they are representing in courts as well as prepare them for a moot court exercise.

This activity was organised with the support of the project "Freedom of Expression and Freedom of the Media in Albania" an Action in the framework of the Joint Program of the European Union and the Council of Europe "Horizontal Instrument for the Western Balkans and Turkey II".
