Handover ceremony of the HELP online course certificates on Data Protection and Privacy Rights

On 17 July 2020, the Council of Europe organised the handover ceremony of certificates to the participants of the HELP online course on Data Protection and Privacy Rights. The event was opened by the State Inspector Londa Toloraia and the Deputy Head of the Council of Europe Office in Georgia, Vahag Muradyan. This was the first online course in the field of personal data protection implemented in Georgian language. The course combined up to date information about European standards on data protection and  Georgian legislation and practice. The first group of participants were staff members of the State Inspector’s Service of Georgia, who have successfully completed the course. The event was followed by working meeting, where the participants as well as representatives of the Council of Europe and the State Inspector’s Service discussed results and provided recommendations.

The activity was organised in the framework of the Council of Europe project “Supporting Freedom of Media and Internet in Georgia”.
