Representatives of the Greek Government Agent's Office (State Legal Council) visited the Council of Europe from 13 to 15 November. The study visit was organised by the Execution Department and aimed at further enhancing co-operation and the execution of the Court’s judgments concerning Greece.
Discussions focused notably on cases which are in the enhanced procedure of supervision by the Committee of Ministers, concerning, inter alia, police ill-treatment, prison conditions, hate crime, and migrants.
Exchanges were also held with the President and members of the Registry of the European Court of Human Rights, CPT, ECRI, the Human Rights Commissioner’s Office and CEPEJ.
The study visit was a follow up to the Execution Department's mission to Athens in September 2019.
