The Committee of Ministers reviews the implementation of the European Court of Human Rights' judgments

On 6-7 June, representatives of the 47 member States of the Council of Europe held their second “Human Rights” meeting of 2017, during which they examined the implementation of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights in keeping with the supervisory role of the Committee of Ministers, under Article 46 of the European Convention on Human Rights.

The texts adopted at this meeting concern: Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Republic of Moldova, Poland, Romania, the Russian Federation, Serbia, Slovenia, “the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia”, Turkey, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.

The Committee also made public the list of cases proposed for more detailed examination at its next “Human Rights” meeting that will be held from 19 to 21 September 2017. Cases proposed for the September meeting concern Albania, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Republic of Moldova, Poland, Romania, the Russian Federation, Slovenia, "the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia", Turkey and Ukraine.
