The Department for the Execution of Judgments of the European Court of Human Rights carried out a mission to Zagreb from 13 to 14 November.
During the mission, the Department’s delegation held a series of meetings with the Croatian authorities. In particular, discussions were carried out in respect of the execution progress of certain major judgments of the Strasbourg Court concerning ineffective investigations in cases concerning war crimes and ill-treatment by police and cases concerning property issues.
The authorities met included the Ministries of Justice, of Interior and of Construction and Spatial Planning as well as the Constitutional and Supreme Court, the State Attorney’s Office and the Government Agent.
