The European Youth Foundation is visiting projects it is supporting and run by non-governmental youth organisations.

Through the visits the Foundation expects to increase the visibility of the EYF and the Council of Europe; give feedback to the Programming Committee on Youth (more about the Committee); establish contact with youth NGOs; get to know NGOs and the work they do.

Visited projects are organised by non-governmental youth organisations (NGOs) which are registered with the Foundation and received a grant. (More information on the application process).

The EYF visits a local youth democracy project in Luxembourg

On 22-23 November 2022, the EYF visited a local youth project entitled #Lëtzebuerg2023 in Luxembourg. The project was supported by the EYF through a pilot activity grant and was organised by the Association Luxembourgeoise pour le dialogue interculturel (ALDIC) in the framework of the Council of Europe's youth campaign Democracy here, Democracy now. The project aims to improve the political participation of young people in Luxembourg, especially in view of the municipal and legislative elections of 2023.

The activity visited was the first five-day residential training for 15 young people. A second training will follow for another group of 15 young people: eventually, the trained participants will set up an online information service for young people in Luxembourg regarding the upcoming elections.
