The European Youth Foundation is visiting projects it is supporting and run by non-governmental youth organisations.

Through the visits the Foundation expects to increase the visibility of the EYF and the Council of Europe; give feedback to the Programming Committee on Youth (more about the Committee); establish contact with youth NGOs; get to know NGOs and the work they do.

Visited projects are organised by non-governmental youth organisations (NGOs) which are registered with the Foundation and received a grant. (More information on the application process).

EYF project visits in Spain, Italy and Germany

In November, the EYF visited:

Two international activities in:

  • Spain “IMPACT 2.0 – New Technologies for Intercultural Education”
  • Germany “Training and Capacity Building for Young Europeans on Equity, Inclusion, and Harassment Prevention”

and one pilot activity in:

  • Italy Recognize and help gender-based violence victims”

The purpose of the visits was to monitor the implementation of activities, present the Council of Europe Youth Sector and the EYF, and meet beneficiary NGOs to discuss about future co-operation

"IMPACT 2.0 - New Technologies for Intercultural Education", an international activity of European Educational Exchanges Youth for Understanding focused on capacity building of trainers on human rights and intercultural education in the online environment.

The activity was held in CEULAJ, a Quality Labelled Youth Center in Mollina, Spain, and gathered 22 participants who learnt about key human rights education concepts and explored digital tools for trainers.

The pilot activity of The Rising Stars, "Recognize and help gender-based violence victims" gathered 18 youth workers and young social workers to explore how to recognize and support victims of gender-based violence, preparing them to deliver awareness raising workshops in local schools in Messina, Italy, with the help of the Council of Europe “Gender Matters” manual.

The international activity of the European Youth Parliament, "Training and Capacity Building for Young Europeans on Equity, Inclusion, and Harassment Prevention", brought together 20 young people in Berlin, with an additional 16 participants joining some of the sessions online. Participants learnt about topics such as disabilities, inclusive education, setting boundaries in volunteering, and the meaning of consent. Following the training, they will continue to disseminate their learning in their national organisations, ensuring that all EYP events are safe and accessible to all.
