Decisions by the Joint Council on Youth

We have recently published the Focus Themes for Pilot Activities to take place in 2019, which have been decided by the Joint Council on Youth at its October meeting. This was not the only important result of the statutory meeting, which gathered over 110 governmental and non-governmental representatives at the European Youth Centre, in Strasbourg.
Among other decisions, the draft priorities for the Youth and Democracy Programme 2020-21 were adopted, as well as a set of
guidelines to support the implementation of the Recommendation on Young People’s Access to Rights.Other highlights include a new draft Committee of Ministers’ Recommendation on supporting young refugees in transition to adulthood and the appointment of a Rapporteur on Mainstreaming Disability Issues. More information on the results of this meeting and of the statutory meetings of the Advisory Council on Youth and the European Steering Committee on Youth can be found here.
