Who we are

The European Youth Foundation (EYF) is a fund established in 1972 by the Council of Europe to provide financial and educational support for European youth activities. Only youth NGOs from the 46 Council of Europe member states as well as the European Cultural Convention Signatories: Belarus, Kazakhstan, the Holy See and the Russian Federation, can apply to the Foundation.

The EYF is part of the Youth Department of the Council of Europe’s Directorate of Democratic Participation, Directorate General of Democracy.

Special call to support projects within the 2022 youth campaign

The Youth campaign "Democracy Here. Democracy Now" aims at strengthening young people’s role in the process of revitalising participatory democracy and restoring mutual trust between young people and democratic institutions and processes. The campaign will focus on three key themes: revitalisation of democracy, meaningful youth participation and digitalisation. Within this campaign, the EYF launched a special call for pilot activities and international activities.
