The EYF has visited "Turn Hate Off", a training for trainers organised by NGO Droni, in Tbilisi, Georgia, between 14th and 20th of May. This EYF-supported pilot activity gathered 28 youth workers and trainers from Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia, providing them with new skills and knowledge to implement in their Non-formal education activities.
A special focus has been given on combating Hate Speech, from a content perspective but also through capacity building on tools and methods to disseminate the topic among their communities and youth NGOs.
The EYF visit took place during two of the 7 days of the training and included different sessions about NFE principles and methodologies, as well as the preparation and implementation of workshops on Hate Speech from different perspectives. Participants worked together in diverse groups to create and run small activities that took place in Tbilisi with young people from the local community, which was also an opportunity to promote the NGO towards their target group.
