As part of the on-going effort to reach out to Member States and Youth Organisations, the EYF organised a presentation in Skopje, “the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia”, for local and national organisations, and an information session in Brussels, for International Youth NGOS.
The presentation, organised in cooperation with the Agency of Youth and Sport, took place from 7 to 9 September in Skopje. Non-formal methodologies were used with a participant-centred approach and included simulation exercises on writing and assessing a pilot activity grant application, as well as separate sessions on project management and gender perspective. The representative of “the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia” to the Programming Committee on Youth played an active part as a member of the team and had a specific role in several sessions, notably to explain the decision-making process for EYF grants.
The information session in Brussels took place on 6 and 7 September, just in time for the 1 October deadline. The EYF secretariat organises information sessions twice a year to help representatives of international NGOs and networks dealing directly with applications to better understand the EYF application, assessment and reporting process. These sessions are also an opportunity for NGOs to have bilateral meetings with the EYF and discuss past relations or current processes of application or reporting.
