The state of labour rights across Europe: presentation of the annual Conclusions 2018 of the European Committee of Social Rights

The European Committee of Social Right (ECSR) will present its annual Conclusions for 2018 at a press conference at the Council of Europe office in Brussels (2nd floor, Avenue des Nerviens 85) on Monday 25 March 2019 at 10am.

In 2018, the Committee examined, in the framework of the reporting procedure, 35 national reports on the articles of the Charter relating to labour rights. Those rights include the right to reasonable working hours, fair pay and protection from harassment at work, as well as trade union rights including the right to information, consultation and collective bargaining.

The conclusions will be presented by the ECSR President Giuseppe Palmisano (Italy), Vice-President François Vandamme (Belgium) and General Rapporteur Eliane Chemla (France).

The presentation will be followed by a question and answer session. There will also be an opportunity for individual media interviews.

For more information about the press conference, please contact the Council of Europe office in Brussels at [email protected].
