The Governmental Committee of the European Social Charter and the European Code of Social Security meets by videoconference

The Governmental Committee* of the European Social Charter and the European Code of Social Security (‘Governmental Committee’) holds its 141st meeting from 5 to 8 September 2020 by videoconference.

The Governmental Committee will examine the International Labour Organisation (ILO) conclusions with a view to adopting them as a draft Resolutions to be submitted to the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.

The Governmental Committee will also examine situations of non-conformity and follow-up measures taken by the States Parties with respect to Conclusions XXI-4 (2019) of the 1961 Charter and Conclusions 2019 of the European Social Charter relating to thematic group 4 “Children, Families and Migrants”.

A discussion on the follow up to the Committee of Ministers’ decisions and the 2nd Steering Committee for Human Rights (CDDH) report identifying good practices and making proposals with a view to improving the implementation of social rights in Europe will also be held.
