New ECSR member to be elected

Following the resignation with effect from 1 July 2023 of Monika ŠIMŮNKOVÁ (from the Czech Republic), the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe took a decision on the election procedure of a new member of the European Committee of Social Rights (ECSR).

The deadline for the nomination of candidates is 22 September 2023. The term of office of the new member will begin immediately upon election and it will end on 31 December 2028.

The State Parties to the European Social Charter or revised Charter concerned by the election are Armenia, Czech Republic, Slovak Republic and Slovenia. Candidates should be experts of the highest integrity and of recognised competence in national and international social questions and, once elected members of the ECSR, sit in their individual capacity.
