Meeting on non-accepted provisions of the European Social Charter by Andorra

The second meeting on the non-accepted provisions of the European Social Charter by Andorra was held on 14 November 2019 in Andorra.

The meeting was opened by Giuseppe Palmisano, President of the European Committee on Social Rights, as well as by Joan-Carles Villaverde, Director of Social Affairs and Youth of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Lodging and Youth. The aim of the meeting was to assess the state of play of the legislation and practice vis-a-vis the provisions of the Social Charter not yet accepted by Andorra and to discuss the possibility of the acceptance of those provisions.

It was noted that some of the provisions not yet accepted by Andorra, could be immediately accepted, as the legislation and practice are in line with the requirements of the Charter.

The meeting was organised by the Department of the European Social Charter of the Council of Europe and the Ministry of Social Affairs, Lodging and Youth, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Justice and Interior and the Ministry of Presidency, Economy and Enterprise.
