The electoral support project continues implementing a permanent training course on ‘Electoral Law and Electoral Dispute Resolution’ introduced at the High School of Justice of Georgia, in cooperation with the International Society for Free and Fair Elections (ISFED). The training is also a part of the implementation of the respective toolkit - ‘Electoral Dispute Resolution’-, developed in cooperation with the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe.

To date, up to 100 acting judges have successfully completed the training course and are contributing to further development of the court practice on electoral matters. After delivering trainings to acting judges, adjudicating electoral complaints, on 26 June, an online training was delivered to the court personnel - assistants to judges and secretaries of court hearings.

The Council of Europe expert delivered respective sessions on international standards and the case law of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) on electoral disputes. The participants analysed case studies in groups and, after a lively exchange of views, delivered their solutions.

The training was organised within the framework of the Council of Europe Project ‘Supporting Transparency, Inclusiveness and Integrity of Electoral Practice and Process in Georgia’.
