Training of trainers organised within the framework of the project: “Support to the Integral and Inclusive Election Process in Bosnia and Herzegovina”

A three-day training of trainers (ToT) session was organised from 11 to 13 February for the representatives of the Municipal Election Committees (MECs) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, within the framework of the Council of Europe project: “Support to the Integral and Inclusive Election Process in Bosnia and Herzegovina”, implemented by the Council of Europe Office in Sarajevo.

Two Municipal Election Committees (MECs) representatives from Mostar region recently participated in the fifth out of a series of six training sessions aimed to provide a comprehensive curriculum on training and education of the Election Administration. The curriculum has been developed in line with the relevant best practices and international standards, in cooperation with experts from the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

A total of 49 representatives participated in the training, including MECs from 27 municipal election committees of the Mostar region, CEC members and members of the Prosecutor Office of Brčko District. The main purposes of training program are to strengthen the capacity of Election Administration at all levels, conduct administrative elections in line with the international standards and to increase the efficiency, achieved through the ToT education and certification in compliance with best practices and international standards.
