The Regional conference on promoting gender equality during electoral processes was the occasion to present the media campaign on gender equality for the General Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This campaign gave more visibility to the women candidates. The media campaign is very active and the candidates are satisfied with it.

The Regional conference gave also the opportunity for the gender equality experts of the region (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, "the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia", Montenegro and Serbia) to meet and explain the perception of gender equality issues as well as share experiences of their countries.

Participants to the Conference included representatives of the Agency for Gender Equality in Bosnia and Herzegovina, representatives of political parties, media and domestic civil society organisations.
