The Council of Europe, in co-operation with the Centre for Continuous Electoral Training within the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Moldova (CCET), is working on a roadmap for accreditation of the CCET as an educational institution in line with the relevant legislation of the Republic of Moldova.

The roadmap will assess the required steps and procedures for the accreditation, as well as the preparation of the supporting documents for the accreditation of the CCET’s training programmes by the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research from the Republic of Moldova. Accreditation will allow CCET to issue qualified certificates of completion for election officials, trainers, police officers, journalists, political party treasurers, librarians, etc.

The Council of Europe Project Improving Electoral Practice in the Republic of Moldova, Phase II. will aid the CCET in the self-assessment process and quality of its training programmes. Finally, the experience on the accreditation will be analysed in the countries with similar electoral training bodies.

CCET is one of the main Project partners and carries out = specialized trainings of election officials, as well as, upon request, of members of political parties, domestic observers, media representatives, local public administration authorities and so on, who are also deeply involved in the electoral process.
