Plenary session of the Consultative Committee of Convention 108

The 35th plenary session of the Committee takes place from 22 to 24 November in Strasbourg. This meeting gathers nearly 70 participants from all regions of the world (with the first participation of Tunisia as a Party to Convention 108), comprising both national representatives (of data protection authorities or competent ministries) and non-state representatives (governmental international organisations, non-governmental ones, business actors). The Plenary meetings are a unique opportunity for all the countries involved to exchange views and to move forward in providing legal and policy guidance on various data protection and privacy-related issues. Several key topics are on the agenda of this session, including the draft recommendation on the protection of health related data and the draft practical guide on the use of personal data in the police sector.

The full detail of the topics addressed, and corresponding documents, can be consulted here.
