The Council of Europe was very much present at the 2020 edition of the RGPD days, on line this year.
On 26 June, Patrick Penninckx, Head of the Information Society Department chaired the session on Data protection in times of crisis;
Sophie Kwasny, Head of the Data Protection Unit, drew the conclusions of the rich and intense discussions of the two days for professionals (25 and 26 June) recalling the essence of the right to data protection and its nature which is fully compatible and can be articulated with other rights and requirements, and placing again Convention 108+, together with the GDPR, at the heart of a global dimension.
