Morocco joins the Budapest Convention on Cybercrime and its Protocol on Xenophobia and Racism

Today, Morocco has deposited the instruments of accession to the Budapest Convention on Cybercrime and its Additional Protocol on Xenophobia and Racism.

With Morocco’s accession, the Convention on Cybercrime has now 60 states parties. A further 11 States have signed it or been invited to accede.

The Council of Europe and the European Union will continue supporting Morocco through the GLACY+ and CyberSouth projects in further strengthening its legislation and criminal justice capacities to fight cybercrime.
